IT IS FINISHED (Jesus Christ)

No leader who ever walked this earth, with the exception of Jesus Christ, can ever say of his or her work, "It is finished!" The legacy of a leader is always incomplete.

Jesus Christ made this declaration with His dying breath as He hung on a Roman cross outside of Jerusalem. It signified the accomplishment of His mission. What was this mission? In spite of His humble beginnings and brevity of life, no other man has had a greater influence in the history of mankind than Jesus Christ. Not only is He followed by billions throughout the world as the Savior of mankind and the Son of God, but His influence in the fields of philosophy, religion, medicine, education and jurisprudence is undeniable.…

Have Civilizations Ever Really Changed?

Have civilizations ever really changed? No... They all keep drifting back to one idea...the tower. The whole world seems fixated on towers now. Spanning from Dubai to New York. Mumbai to Japan. Each one taller than the last and each one reflecting one word in my mind...Babel.

How much have we really changed from that ancient story? We're certainly not forced to build monuments by some legendary warrior king shaking his fist at us and God.

No...we've taken that mantle upon ourselves.

Mothers, The Mightiest of Warriors—The Pilgrims’ Story

William Bradford, one of the pilgrims who came over on the Mayflower and who served as the governor of Plymouth Colony for over 30 years, stated, “Inasmuch as the great Father…granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience.”

Dear Pilgrims,

There is so much we can learn from your sacrifice and perseverance. You were willing to give up everything we so value—your jobs, your homes, your possessions and your position—for the freedom to live out your faith as your conscience directed. You undertook that treacherous voyage to freedom, a voyage that many of you did not survive. Hoping for a brighter future in a land of freedom, you brought your children with you, but even the warm embrace of loving mothers was not sufficient to protect all of the helpless infants against the bitter cold. Many of you paid a bitter price for your freedom. Almost half of you died during the first bitter winter in America.
